The Transax Cheque Guarantee Service enables merchants to accept high value cheques or those presented without a supporting guarantee card, secure in the knowledge they will be paid subject to signature verification.
Backed by Certegy, one of the world’s largest information service providers, the service offers protection against bad debt, fraud and all other risks associated with accepting high value personal and business cheque transactions.
Transactions are approved (or not) by the Transax credit scoring model, with a guarantee of payment from Certegy for all authorised cheques.
Cheques are still a common method of payment for millions of customers and are as popular as ever for business payments. The value for the cheque is guaranteed by Certegy and if the cheque is returned unpaid, Certegy will settle with the Merchant.
The service can be used via the telephone or via your existing Streamline card terminal. Merchants wishing to use the Transax facility should contact Certegy on 0800 626979.
