POS Terminal Help: Terminal Manual Update Guide

Please check your terminal type below and follow process 1, 2, or 3 to complete a successful download.

NOTE: If your terminal type is not on this list, then please call the helpdesk for further assistance.

The download should take approximately 5 minutes, but may take up to 20 minutes depending on the software content required to update your terminal.

Once the terminal has started the download you can leave it to complete, once completed the terminal will go back to ‘ready’.

1. X8

1. Press ---- key (centre key, immediately below display).
2. Press down-arrow key to highlight 'System'. Press GREEN button.
3. Press down-arrow key to highlight 'Maintenance'. Press GREEN button.
4. Type in your four-digit Access Code (default code is 0000). Press GREEN button.
5. Screen should show 'MMS Download' highlighted. Press GREEN button x 2.
6. The terminal will now dial out and complete download.
7. Once the download is complete your terminal will be ready to use.
   
   

2. Xplorer

1. Swipe the Supervisor Card.
2. Look for the option that says ‘Call TMS’ , and press the corresponding numeric key.
3. Terminal will now dial out and update, you will see a message ‘connecting’ & ‘Params’ TMP.
4. The terminal will now dial out and complete download.
5. Once the download is complete your terminal will be ready to use.

3. VX 670 & VX 810

1. From the main screen press the third purple key from the left.
2. Terminal will say ”start TMS session, Password” Type in your Supervisor Password & Press ENTER (Note: The default password is 999999).
3. The terminal will now dial out and complete download.
4. Once the download is complete your terminal will be ready to use.
