Authorisation is a way of checking that the card has not been reported lost or stolen, and that there is enough money in the account to pay for the goods or services being purchased. Although authorisation can confirm these facts, it does not guarantee payment.

The following numbers should be used when you are referred for a voice authorisation. When the Cardholder is Present, 0845 7 600 500. When the Cardholder is Not Present 0845 7 600 530. The maximum call charge from BT landlines is 3p per minute. Calls from other networks may vary. Telephone calls may be monitored and recorded to improve our service.
